The one bedroom, one bathroom floor plan at Cinnabar Commons is perfectly designed for your comfort and convenience. At 625 square feet, our one bedroom units are designed to feel spacious, with a kitchen, living space, bedroom, bathroom, and patio or balcony area. Cinnabar Commons is a 100% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) affordable property located just west of beautiful downtown San Jose. Our residents are a short drive away from all the city has to offer, including restaurants, parks, theaters, museums, and night life.

Each of our San Jose affordable apartment homes comes equipped with wall to wall carpeting, state of the art appliances, granite countertops, and wood finish cabinetry. The units also have outdoor living areas. Dogs are not allowed, up to two cats may be permitted with an additional fee. Hook ups for washing machines and dryers are included in the apartment units with washer/dryer rentals available upon request for your convenience.

Our applicants must qualify under LIHTC guidelines as well as all company policies including policies for rental history, credit, and background checks. All our applicants 18 years of age and older must complete a credit and background check to qualify. Credit score for adults over 18 must be 650 or higher. This includes those with voucher assistance. Please note that there are no exceptions to this policy.

Full time students do NOT qualify for Cinnabar Commons housing. There are exceptions for applicants who are single parents, married filing jointly, or who are receiving social services assistance. Proof must be submitted to qualify.

Once you have submitted a complete application and our team has had a chance to review, we will add you to our waitlist. You will be contacted for an interview when you are next in line. Cinnabar Commons does not offer tours and we do not have an apartment model to show. Leasing and waitlist information is conducted online. We do not provide hard copy applications at our office location.
